Position Summary

The Interior Design program at the School of Planning, Design & Construction (SPDC) at Michigan State University (MSU) invites applications for an Assistant Instructor/Instructor to teach IDES 150 and IDES 240 in Fall 2024, with an expected start date of 8/16/2024.

This is a part-time position. The full-time equivalent percentage may vary depending on the candidates’ experience, education and the number of credits.

Position is planned to recur every Fall Semester

Minimum Requirements

Applicants are required to have a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field for the Assistant Instructor rank and a Master's degree in Interior Design or related field for the Instructor rank. Minimum 2-year professional experience is required. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Photoshop.

Desired Qualifications

Teaching experience in Interior Design courses is preferred.

TheSchool of Planning, Design, and Constructionunites four academic programs related to the built environment: Construction Management, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, and Urban and Regional Planning, with 45 faculty and academic specialists, and 8 staff members.
