Job Overview: Plans, organizes, directs, and controls overall operations at Calumet Pipeline Center which supports the oxygen, nitrogen, argon, and hydrogen pipelines in located in Northwest Indiana, Detroit, MI, and Kansas City, MO. Manages staff needs required to provide on-going product service, support, and repair of equipment throughout pipeline systems. Establishes, implements, and maintains administrative and technical procedures to provide responsive services to customers. The overall objective of this leadership position is to apply advanced technical engineering knowledge and management experience to ensure the safe, reliable, and uninterrupted supply gases to customers in the North region. Primary Responsibilities: - Accountable for Compliance- DOT and regulations for pipelines in North region - Execution of Linde safety program - Linde Audits - Execution of product supply contract required meter proving. - Maintain Pipeline records and procedures. - Pipeline locates / 811 calls procedures and execution. - MOC work process leadership. - PHMSA Drug and Alcohol (DandA) testing. - Accountable for Budget planning and execution to plan- Capital budget planning. - Annual expense budget for pipeline maintenance - Maintenance of critical spare parts inventory - Accountable to establish and set team priorities to ensure prompt task completion.- Schedule and assign 24/7 work for pipeline group employees (Linde and contractors). Including IandE, CP, pipeline locators, maintenance, and mechanical technicians. - Ensure the safe work of all technicians. - Coaching and mentoring of pipeline technicians - Maintaining group technical expertise- Cathodic Protection, O2 cleaning, project execution, metering systems, pipeline mechanical equipment, EAM usage, and operation/maintenance of pipeline stations. - Productivity- Identification of productivity opportunities for pipeline maintenance and operation - Realization of above opportunities to meet region productivity goals. - Capital Projects- Support project execution with technical expertise and planning, - Ensure safe and reliable commissioning. - Support sales organization with customer interface during planning and execution. Qualifications: - 3 years of experience in project /or construction management. - Bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering Technology. - Successful supervisory or leadership experience of technicians / maintenance personnel. - Excellent communication and team interaction skills. - In depth knowledge of Linde engineering standards, methodologies, and application - Proven understanding of regulatory and industrial standards and codes. - Proven experience managing multiple tasks under time and cost constraints. - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with peers, regional sales team. - Ability to assign appropriate priorities to competing interests and achieve results with minimal supervision. - Previous sales and/or customer interface experience. - Proven experience in CMMS systems such as Infor EAM. - RCA Trained - le d and facilitate RCA's. - Working knowledge of operations, maintenance, and repairs to large reciprocating compressors, synchronous motors, electrical distribution equipment, automatic control valves, and control systems. - Working knowledge of the design and application of cathodic protection systems. - 6 Sigma Green Belt trained.
