Residential Services, Inc. (RSI) is a non-profit organization that provides services to adults, children, and families with disabilities. RSI has been providing innovative services to help people with disabilities live in the home setting of their choice since 1978. We believe that all people, regardless of their disability, can live successfully in a community-based setting given the proper support. RSI is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to provide nursing support to individuals with a wide range of developmental, physical, and mental health disabilities. This position will support programs in Duluth, MN. Hours are Monday-Friday flexing between 8a-5p. Weekends and holidays are not required, with the exception of providing occasional nursing support via phone as part of the on-call nursing rotation. Travel is required with mileage reimbursement provided. Duties will include: -Monitor the health and medical care of people receiving services. -Complete person served assessments upon admission and develop medical care plans. -Participate in the pre-screening process of prospective people served to evaluate whether their medical needs can be met by the nursing services in the facility. -Carry out general nursing functions and coordinate services such as physician, dental, therapy, dietary, and pharmaceutical. -Responsible for the delegation, training, and ensuring accurate documentation of medication administration. -Support the professional growth and development of staff at assigned programs through effective performance management and training. -Train staff on medication administration and program and person-served specific trainings, monitoring staff follow through. -Oversee medical documentation and appointment scheduling, -Participate in the development and implementation of individual care policies. -Participate in rotating telephone nursing on call with compensation. -Able to travel distances to assist with trainings and/or regional meetings. -Other duties as needed or directed by the Health Services Director.
