Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Liquor Store Clerk 2 Itinerant (Traveling Sales Team Lead) in Du Bois, Pennsylvania

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

 

As an Itinerant Liquor Store Clerk 2, travel will be required as needed. Responsibilities include independently leading and overseeing the work of lower-level clerks. You will participate in the performance of routine including customer service, ringing sales on a cash register, unloading shipments, stocking shelves, building displays, and cleaning the store. As shift lead, you will also provide on-the-job training to lower-level store employees regarding store procedures and policies, assign and review, complete accounting and inventory reports, oversee cash management issues on the shift, and resolve customer service and product-related issues. While most work will be performed independently, you will have the opportunity to seek guidance from a manager or an assistant manager for new or unusual circumstances. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 75 hours biweekly. 
  • Work hours vary between 7:00 AM and 10:00 PM, Sunday - Saturday.
  • This is an Itinerant Liquor Store Clerk 2 position; travel will be required as needed.
  • Salary:* *The starting salary for this position for new Commonwealth employees is fixed at the minimum salary listed above and is not negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Six months as a Liquor Store Clerk 1 or Intermittent Liquor Store Clerk (commonwealth titles); or
  • Six months of retail sales work.

     

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

  • You must pass a background investigation. An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code. Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
