Job Summary and Qualifications

The Clinical Supervisor in the Recovery Room/PACU is a professional Registered Nurse with in-depth scientific knowledge, technical expertise, skill and competency that serves as a consultant and resource to the nursing staff in the PACU. We work hard to support the patients in our community and each other. We are looking for someone who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. In this Supervisor role:

  • You will have the clinical competence to serve as resource to the staff and be self-directed with the ability to lead others.

  • You will support the staff and work as a change agent, supporting system wide nursing initiatives.

  • You will assess the need for and assist in the creation and implementation of staff development programs to enhance professional growth of personnel.

  • You will facilitate ongoing performance improvement activities which correlate to the Hospital-wide Performance Improvement Program with involvement of all levels of staff on designated shifts as appropriate.

  • You will make assignments for the present or following shift to provide for smooth transition, ensuring appropriate assignments throughout shift to cover changing patient needs and staff availability due to absences, breaks, etc

What qualifications you will need:

  • Current Utah nursing license in good standing

  • Requires a minimum of two (2) years RN experience but prefer three (3) years’ experience in the area of specialty. Leadership and management experience is highly desirable.

  • Associate’s Degree in nursing required, bachelor’s preferred

  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.

  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certified (ACLS) and Certification.
