Crystal Cruises A&K VP, Global Private Travel Sales Acquisition in Downers Grove, Illinois

Position Summary

The position is responsible for developing and executing business strategies and events to drive accelerated cultivation, acquisition, and re-engagement to grow the high net worth global market share and establish A&K as the best in class for luxury travel.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • In conjunction with Senior Vice President and other internal department heads/stakeholders, lead the execution of Private Client/Private Travel new acquisition and re-engagement strategy for A&K globally

  • Identify and develop professional relationships with organizations, companies, and communities to facilitate new client acquisition in multiple source markets and channels

  • Leverage prior professional relationships with organizations focused on catering to high-net-worth individuals with a propensity to travel with A&K and Crystal

  • Identify, create, and execute opportunities to drive the re-engagement of existing database

  • Identify, recommend strategy, and implement expansion of Private Clients/Travel into new emerging source markets

  • Identify, facilitate, and execute seasonal global targeted event locations that will maximize acquisition, retention, and re-engagement opportunities

  • Develop and implement Key Performance Indicators and reporting metrics for the Private Client/Private Travel global team to track lead generation, conversion, and ROI

  • Ensure consistent, proactive outreach to clients to drive sales volume post-event and pre/post-travel

  • Create and manage annual budget and sales plan

  • Provide event recaps and report event productivity every month, sharing results to coach the team for improvement and development of best practices

  • Provide timely market feedback and ongoing trends and opportunities

  • Accountable for costs, quality control of all events, monthly sales reports, and expense submission to the Senior Vice President, Global Private Travel promptly with supporting documentation

  • Deliver client attendance to AKTG flagship specialty events and experiences

  • Represent A&K at select trade shows, conferences, and additional consumer events as needed

  • Special projects or other related duties as required

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills - multi-lingual a plus

  • Ability to think outside current procedures and drive recommendations

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with day-to-day operations and prioritize tasks

  • Proven success in high-end events

  • Ability to work well in stressful situations

  • Knowledge of world geography

  • Advanced computer skills required (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project Management) and ability to quickly master new technologies

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of sales experience in luxury market client acquisition

  • Existing global network high net worth relationships

  • Demonstrated track record of sales and market penetration success

  • Experience in managing multiple brand portfolios across a global basis

  • Strong account management skills with an emphasis on selling all A&K products

  • International destination knowledge, including A&K destinations preferred

  • Proven effective analytical capabilities

  • Bachelor’s degree required

Special Requirements

  • Position to be based in A&K’s USA (Downers Grove) or UK (London) office

  • Extensive business travel required expected annually including international destinations

  • Attendance at after-hours sales and trade functions

  • Valid Driver’s License

  • Valid Passport
