Universal Technical Resource Services, Inc. (UTRS) is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team! This position will be a full-time position for mechanical engineers and engineering technicians. Seeking highly motivated engineers who are willing to learn at a fast pace through direct, hands-on experience with weapons, optical and digital artillery aiming systems, towed and self-propelled artillery platforms, Science & Technology projects, and developmental hardware projects.

This position is located at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ.

What will you be doing?

This position will be a key member of the Artillery Fire Control team. Duties include:

  • Component and system level design, modeling, and engineering drawing production using ProEngineer – CREO CAD software.

  • Utilizing Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.

  • Working with inertial navigation systems, commercial or military land survey principles, and/or battery-level artillery operations.

  • Working on precision optics, inertial navigation technology, and artillery field operations.

  • Rapid prototyping and system test design/implementation/interpretation.

    What skills will the ideal candidate have to be successful?

This position will require the following skillsets and experience:

  • Experience utilizing Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.

  • Experience or interest in inertial navigation systems, commercial or military land survey principles, and/or battery-level artillery operations.

  • Experience or interest in precision optics, inertial navigation technology, and artillery field operations.

  • Rapid prototyping and system test design/implementation/interpretation.

  • Must have a great work ethic and attitude, enjoy getting your hands dirty, and be motivated to learn on the job in a fast paced environment.

  • Must have a college degree in related field.

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

  • Security clearance a plus

  • Must be US Citizen and able to obtain a security clearance
