As an Invoice Specialist, you’ll perform the duties necessary to maintain financial records and assist with the general operations of the Finance team by processing invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors and suppliers, and maintaining organized and up-to-date financial records. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining the reputation of the organization.

About the Role

  • Match, verify and code invoices in the accounting system(s)

  • Receive and post receipts and reconcile balances

  • Set up and maintain vendors or payors in the accounting system(s)

  • Ensure transactions are timely and accurate

  • Reconcile amounts owed by comparing invoices to purchase orders or other records

  • Review invoices and verify that they comply with organizational policies and are approved for payment and/or select the appropriate invoice approval flow

  • Prepare check batches for payment and process daily check requests

  • Follow up with leadership to get approval on unapproved invoices

  • Respond to inquiries and research and resolve concerns or discrepancies from any of the following: vendors, suppliers, external clients, internal clients and/or team members

About You

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, or a related financial role.

  • Familiarity with accounting software and financial systems
