Rock Events is a premiere team of event professionals who provide event production, business travel and hospitality services to Rocket Companies, in additional to venue sales for some of the most sought-after event spaces in the city of Detroit. Borne out of the Rock Family of Companies, Rock Events has managed many of Detroit’s largest gatherings for more than a decade.

Job Summary

As an Event Sales Coordinator you'll be responsible for coordinating projects and events within a growing portfolio of event venues. You'll form relationships with vendors, clients and partners to manage successful events from start to finish while providing a world-class experience.

Responsibilities

• Market, sell and coordinate projects and events in event venues with a focus on wedding/social events

• Execute day-to-day operations of an event by overseeing all setup, breakdown and other activities to ensure a smooth event flow

• Coordinate and assist clients from initial inquiry through event execution, including showcasing venues, creating venue proposals, building event floor plans, detailing event resumes and soliciting client feedback

• Reconcile all event costs through the generation of invoices, payment schedules and contracts

• Offer vendor recommendations to clients and ensure vendors adhere to venue guidelines

• Collect certificates of insurance from clients and vendors

• Sell beverage packages and maintain a comprehensive understanding of beverage policies

• Coordinate with audio-visual, security, parking, facilities and other teams to ensure that all preparations are made for an event

• Assist in managing marketing materials, including social media accounts and website content

• Keep up with industry trends and attend educational networking sessions

• Complete annual compliance trainings to maintain adherence to safety guidelines
