Trinity Health Construction Coordinator in DES MOINES, Iowa

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Coordinates the design and construction of remodeling projects.

· Operates computer aided design (CAD) system to create detailed plans for construction and remodeling projects.

· Works as the liaison among contractors, architects, interior designers, department management and maintenance staff to insure efficient and timely design and construction progress.

· Schedules and sequences construction.

· Inspects construction in progress for conformance to design and quality of material Reviews and approves all changes in design and materials.

· Responsible for designing, fabricating and installing signs for Mercy Medical Center. Mercy Clinics and affiliate hospitals.

· Purchases materials and supplies related to fabrication and installation of signs.

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:

· Maintains as built drawing for Mercy Medical Center and all associated properties

· Provide fire plans of Medical center and clinics to Public Safety

· Maintains the square footage chart for the CMS report as required by Finance.

· Assist the Maintenance staff in construction and projects as needed.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE. SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

· Five years experience in construction project management. Considerable knowledge on major building construction requirements, technology and methods; good knowledge of the technology of mechanical and electrical installation used in major building construction.

Ability to coordinate major building construction projects. Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with architects, contractors and administrative personnel.

· Experience in CAD

· Experience with sign layout and usage on computer technology for sign production.
