Job Summary and Qualifications

  • The Emergency Department Manager is responsible for the supervision, coordination and evaluation of nursing care provided on the assigned unit(s).

  • The Manager also coordinates and supervises the activities for the unit, which supports the safe and efficient delivery of care.

  • The Manager assists the Admin Department Director in the implementation of Performance Improvement activities, hospital policies/procedures and in the financial management of the Unit.

What qualifications you will need:

Licensure/certification/registration:

  • Texas State RN license or compact license required.

  • BSN.

  • BLS and ACLS required by AHA or ARC. PALS or ENPC required within 90 days of hire.

  • TNCC required within 18 months of hire.

  • Advanced specialty certification (i.e. CEN) encouraged.

Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 3 years clinical experience, 2 years management experience preferred.
