Financial Systems Support - RTR Tech Manager - Decatur, IL

This is a full-time, exempt level position.

General

The Financial Systems Support team is part of the Record to Report organization. The team provides system admin and tech support for the Record to Report organization. Applications that are supported include Hyperion and Blackline. The team also provides support for accounting files and processes and works on projects and quick wins to improve the accounting close process.

Managers at ADM have strong knowledge and mastery of company's operations, systems, processes, the industry in which it operates, and key metrics used to measure performance. Those in this role are expected to develop and maintain good working relationships with accounting partners. Managers must also establish, monitor, and enforce a system of internal controls to keep the company operating within an acceptable level of risk. Managers must have strong ability to drive productivity of large teams, delegate work appropriately, provide development opportunities and coaching to team members, and manage the performance management process for all direct reports.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop a team of around 10 people

  • Provide system and file support to the Record to Report organization during the accounting close process

  • Work with the accounting organization to gather requirements and develop solutions for continuous improvement ideas

  • Collaborate with other leaders to identify and implement best practices across Record to Report

  • Responsible for the services provided to customers and to remediate all issues in a productive manner

  • Work with internal and external auditors to provide audit request items

Required Skills:

  • Ability to work on a wide variety of projects, in a quickly changing environment

  • Effective written and oral communication skills

  • Good analytical skills, strong control mindset and problem-solving ability

  • Strong organization and prioritization skills

  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite

  • SQL or IBM DB2 experience

  • Microsoft Power BI or other reporting tools experience

  • Experience with Hyperion or other large ERP systems is a plus

  • Prior supervisory experience

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Information Systems

  • Concentration or minor in Information Systems, or business analysis (BA) certification highly preferred
