Position Summary Responsible for providing general maintenance for the buildings on each of the campuses and off sites of the college. Including repairing and installing equipment and fixtures, completing minor electrical and plumbing repairs, and other repairs, maintenance, and duties as assigned.

Salary: Appropriate placement on ACCS salary schedule E3, Grade 04: $39,759 - $57,251

Work Hours:Monday through Thursday, 10:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.; Friday 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Application materials must provide documentation that the applicant meets all minimum qualifications. Applicants must provide information from previous employers documenting full-time related work experience if an offer is made. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Replace failed light bulbs and ballasts.
  2. Replace damaged ceilings tiles.
  3. Install and repair plumbing related devices and fixtures such as mixing valves, urinals, water closets, lavatories, sinks, and drinking fountains.
  4. Maintain and repair waste and sewage systems.
  5. Maintain HVAC equipment to include lubricating bearings, changing filters in air handlers and completing routine preventative maintenance.
  6. Provide assistance to other technicians as assigned.
  7. Complete basic electrical repairs such as replacing faulty receptacles and light switches.
  8. Complete light carpentry work as assigned.
  9. Complete assigned painting tasks to include paint rolling, cutting in trim, touch-up, drywall installation/finishing and repair.
  10. Assemble classroom and office equipment and furniture.
  11. Maintain awareness of maintenance supplies inventory and keep supervisor informed of supplies needs.
  12. Assist with Fleet Maintenance as needed
  13. Assist with event set-ups as needed.
  14. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  1. A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent isrequired.
  2. A minimum of two (2) years of full-time maintenance, electrical, plumbing, construction, or HVAC isrequired.
