The City of De Pere is seeking a Maintenance Specialist - HVAC. This position will perform skilled HVAC work and general maintenance work to maintain machines, equipment, and City facilities. The typical work schedule is Monday Thursday, 6:30 a.m. 4:00 p.m. and Friday, 6:30 a.m. 10:30 a.m., plus additional hours as needed for emergencies. The City of De Pere recognizes the importance of its employees having a proper work-life balance and supports alternative work schedules (i.e., four 10-hour days or five 8-hour days). In addition, new employees receive three weeks of vacation time and four floating holidays per year beginning on the first day of work (prorated the first year). Qualifications: Minimum Education: Associate\'s degree or Apprenticeship in the HVAC field. Minimum Experience: Three or more years of experience in maintenance and troubleshooting commercial HVAC and boiler systems; general mechanical and building maintenance experience. Previous experience in plumbing, aquatic facility maintenance and woodworking preferred. A combination of education and experience may be considered. Minimum Certifications: EPA 608 Universal Certification or willingness to obtain within 12 months of hire. Certified Pool Operator Certification or willingness to obtain within 24 months of hire. Other Requirements: Valid unencumbered Wisconsin driver\'s license and safe driving record. Possession of a CDL is preferred. Salary: The full salary range for this position is \$33.04 - \$47.20 per hour, plus excellent benefits package. The anticipated starting salary is \$33.04 - \$39.65, depending on qualifications. The City of De Pere rewards employees for exceptional work performance with a pay for performance incentive program. Employees may be awarded a salary increase, bonus, or paid time off for exceptional work performance. Employees will be automatically enrolled in the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS), a pension plan to help provide for financial security during retirement, which consists of employer and employee contributions.
