Summary The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the overall facility, operations, and personnel including Home Delivery drivers. The Manager leads a team of non-exempt Employees and one Supervisor, motivating them to meet company goals while also upholding standards for safety, quality, and productivity. The Manager ensures that the receipt, inspection, and re-sale of product meets all State and Federal Laws in the bedding industry. The manager also oversees all home delivery operations for their respective region to include customer interactions, route planning, and drive team management. Sustainability initiatives are also overseen by the manager of the facility for processing and properly recycling of all materials generated through recycling processes. Pay Range: 60,000 - 70,000 What You Will Do: Builds and promotes a culture and environment that is safe, open, and engaging to all Outfitters Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures with focus on continuous improvement. Complies with federal, state, and local laws pertaining to warehouse, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions. Ensures a safe work environment for all associates with robust Safety Program to create accident-free work areas. Provides DOT & FMSCA expertise to ensure compliance with all applicable Federal, State and local requirements. Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols. Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system. Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement. Achieves financial objectives by meeting KPI and metric benchmarks; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions. Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees to specific job functions and monitoring work results. Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. Maintains a productive operation via communications and scheduling with freight providers, 3rd party vendors, customers, wholesalers, parent plants, and other inline PDC locations. Contributes to team effort by performing and accomplishing all related job functions within the warehouse and delivery operations as needed. Required Skills/Competencies: Strong knowledge of inventory control processes. Formal DOT and FMCSA training preferred Management reporting (financial, production, safety, performance) Understanding of various software programs (Microsoft Office and Warehouse Management System) Demonstrated experience in a warehouse environment utilizing technology (e.g., layout, slotting, scanning, bin locations etc.) Routing software experience for planning, scheduling, and route optimization for customer stops. Knowledge of project management and continuous improvement principles. Leadership - ability to influence others to perform their jobs effectively and to be responsible for making decisions.
