Position Summary: This position supports both CDO and CDO's MSP clients in the commercial sector. Responsibilities vary depending upon the customer and as such requires a person with initiative and a focus on customer service. Position administers and maintains corporate systems and networking for both internal and external customers. In addition, this position will help manage endpoints and other related hardware and software support activities in a corporate environment for internal and external customers. Most work is completed during regular business hours. Availability to be on call and work outside of normal duty hours as customers may require emergency assistance. Some travel may be required to support commercial customers. Responsibilities Include: Perform ongoing maintenance, fine tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization on Windows Servers, SANs, and related infrastructure components. Support and maintain all virtualization technologies including Hyper-V and cloud infrastructures. Troubleshooting, maintaining, and documenting infrastructure components (backup systems, SANs, NAS, and networking equipment). Install new software releases, system upgrades and patches. Evaluate and install patches or solve software-related problems for 3rd party software. Design and implement highly available hardware and software solutions across multiple infrastructure components. Document and maintain infrastructure components and asset management. Maintain, troubleshoot, and support Microsoft infrastructure components including, print services, AD, DNS, ADCS, AD Connect, Azure AD, Intune, Exchange Cloud Environments. Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes, or cloud archive systems. Organize, install, and support computer systems, including Local Area Networks (LANs), Wide Area Networks (WANs), network segments, intranets, and other data communication systems. Handle daily administration of servers and server-based services and test functions with end users to ensure stability and usability. Manage routers, switches, VLANs, and other items, as required. Perform basic troubleshooting and service of office printers, both local and networked. Asist Helpdesk technicians and Field Support technicians with reported customer issues. Consistently provide excellent customer service. Communicate to the customer the status of technical service assistance and establish a service level expectation with them. Thoroughly document incident descriptions, activities, and resolutions in the ticketing system. Mentor and/or guide members of the IT staff to follow best practices and standards. Take ownership of issues and follow through to resolution. Minimum Requirements: 5+ years hands-on experience administering and supporting Windows server systems, MS Exchange, and Windows Operating Systems. Demonstrated experience implementing and administering virtualization products including Hyper-V environments. 2+ years of experience in cloud computing including migration, installation, and administration.
