Department Specific Job Details:

Provides psychological services, both psychological assessment including psychological components of developmental delay, physical illness and hospitalization and psychological psychotherapy, to inpatients and outpatients. Provides consultation to other health care professionals in the hospital regarding psychological aspects of children's behavior in general, as well as psychological components of physical illness and hospitalization. Provides in-service education on psychological issues. Supervises unlicensed psychology personnel. Educates the patient and family/significant others to improve patient health outcomes and appropriately involves patients and family/significant others in care and care decisions. Recognizes and advocates for each patient being an individual with unique health care needs and provides considerate, respectful care affirming the patient's right to make decisions regarding his/her care.

Required: Doctoral degree, Ohio license, and specialization in pediatric and child psychology, specialization in training in pain psychology preferred
