Your Job:

Job Purpose: Within the Support, Clinical and Allied Health Services Division, is responsible for setting objectives, planning, staffing and directing activities of assigned departments/areas of responsibility; i.e. Environmental Services, Pharmacy, Lab, Cardiovascular, Radiology, Respiratory, Physical Medicine, Materials Management, Nutrition and Food Services, Security and Public Safety, Project Management, Facilities Management and Transport.

Your Job Requirements:

Education

MHA/MBA/MS in hospital administration, healthcare administration or specialty field within areas of responsibility or equivalent education/experience preferred.

Licenses and/or Certifications (Required and Preferred)

Minimum Work Experience: Previous administrative experience in hospital administration or related specialty field preferred.

Your Job Responsibilities:

As a member of the Hospital's administrative team, participates in developing Hospital objectives, plans and policies.

Assists in the preparation of hospital/departmental budgets and allocation of funds based upon reviews of department estimates/recommendations, familiarity with operating procedures and cost/revenue projections.

Assumes responsibility of Administrator on-call according to rotating schedule.

Attains all agreed to goals and objectives within specified time frames as part of the overall mission.

Attends all required Safety Training programs and can describe his or her responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety and specific job-related hazards.

Attire Standards

Collaborates with other departments to create systems and problem-solve ongoing issues that affect departmental/organizational goals and/or patient care delivery.

Manages Human Resource to ensure quality services and promote positive employee relations.

Participates in hospital/medical staff committee meetings as required.

Participates on the Hospital administrative team.

Performs other related administrative/Managerial or technical duties as required/directed.

Promotes effective working relations and works effectively as part of a division team inter and intra departmentally to facilitate the division's ability to meet its goals and objectives.

Provides and maintains effective communications with medical staff, the community and all levels of supervision and staff.

Provides consultation, counsel and guidance to key personnel; e.g., supervisors, coordinators, clinical and non-clinical Directors.

Provides leadership and guidance to other leaders and staff in goal-setting, problem-solving, resource management, and outcome achievement.

Responsible for division's operational excellence; ensures division delivers quality services in accordance with applicable policies, procedures and professional standards.

Methodist Charlton Medical Center is a 314-bed, full-service, acute care teaching hospital that serves Cedar Hill, DeSoto, Duncanville, and Lancaster in southwestern Dallas County.
