Raybestos Power Train Tool and Die Journeyman in Crawfordsville, Indiana

PURPOSE and OBJECTIVE:

To build, maintain, and repair dies, fixtures, and gages in order to support production.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS,AND ABILITIES:

  1. General overall knowledge of draw, progressive, and transfer dies

  2. Minimum of 8,000 hours die making experience required

  3. Extensive troubleshooting in all stamping applications

  4. Journeymans card or equivalent documented experience

EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE:

  1. High school diploma

  2. 2-year related technical degree preferred

  3. Formal apprenticeship or documented equivalent of 8,000 hours of Education/experience

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Machine specific

  2. Generic

  3. Industrial safety

  4. Statistical Process Control

  5. Analytical troubleshooting

  6. Applicable quality, environmental, and safety requirements

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Identify and solve tool-related production problems

  2. Generate required documentation for all tool servicing

  3. Keep supervisors informed of needs for replacement tooling and any changes that are made to production tooling

  4. Maintain production tooling, including fixtures and gages

  5. Assist in tooling development on any new or existing tooling projects

  6. Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.

  7. Conform to the safety, quality, and environmental requirements.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From $31.00 per hour
