Summary
Responsible for data collection and database management for the Malignant Hematology and Stem Cell Transplant Program. Responsible for managing the Malignant Hematology Conference, Research Conference and other conferences as needed. This includes prparing materials necessary for patient case presentations and recommendations. Duties also include collecting data at conferences, during clinics and from medical records to enter into the CIBMTR Database. Participates in FACT accreditation for the Stem Cell Transplant Program as well as audits performed by the CIBMTR. Works closely with Program Director to ensure accuracy of data. Extracts and presents pertinent data at the Quarterly Quality Management Meeting and formulates corrective action plans where needed. Serves as back up representative for attendance at the Cancer Committee Meetings. Assists in completing RFI's for insurance providers. Works with IRB for approving and maintinaing research consents. Performs other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
Maintains and monitors the CIBMTR Database for stem cell transplant patients
Participates in FACT Accreditation and CIBMTR Data audits for the stem cell transplant program.
Attends educational meetings or conferences as directed.
Prepares and distributes documents used for the weekly Transplant Conference, bi-monthly Malignant Hematology Conference, monthly Research Conference and other confereences as needed.
Works closely with IRB and other regulatory entities.
Completes assigned goals.
Requirements, Preferences and Experience
Education
Minimum: Minimum requirement of Bachelor's degree or RN. Computer skills to include MS Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Experience
Preferred: A minimum of one (1) year experience in clinical research. malignant hematology or in the healthcare field preferred.

Special Skills
Minimum: Must hae knowledge of Access database. Must have prblem solving, analytical, resource management and creative thinking skills. Must have follow-up skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and other general office equipment. Must have knowledge of general medical terminology and medical tests in malignant hematology, stem cell transplant and Pathology.
