What you'll do The Laundry Attendant I wil work Full-time, Days and is responsible for maintaining linen levels and ensuring that positive interactions occur between linen supply and the areas that are receiving linen. Manage inventory levels in each department The Laundry Attendant I exchange cart On AM carts, ensure that the par levels are correct on the cart and take them to their destination Count all linen on the carts and bring them back up to the par level before delivering them (usually done the day before so they are ready for am run) Floor carts/closets The Laundry Attendant I load inventory on carts to be distributed to the units Count all linen on unit carts and replace items to correct PAR levels Restocking PM The Laundry Attendant I may round units with IPad or other recording device to see what unit linens are needed to meet their PAR level Fill inventory cart of these linen items. (Some units are only delivered to in AM) The Laundry Attendant I may record final data utilizing the assigned IPad or by other method as requested by department leadership Restocks and delivers clean linen to other parts of the hospital such as the clinic and outsourced couriers Unloads delivery of clean linen onto shelves in clean linen room and matches count of items received to items sent on invoice The Laundry Attendant I maintain the orderliness and cleanliness of the inventory room at all times (dust, wet moping the floors, taking out garbage, etc.) Problems – contact Direct Supervisor (or acting Supervisor) for any concerns that arise while providing services on units. Present yourself professionally and effectively with people within the hospital; nurses, nurse managers, clinicians, Central Supply, Materials Manager and the Environmental Service Department, etc What we need from you Education: High School or GED, preferred Experience: Minimum one year related experience, preferred Skills: Accountability Communication Customer Service Interacting with People Time Management Physical Requirements: Light Work: Exerting up to 20 lbs of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Pay Range Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
