The Cook Hospital is seeking Part Time and Casual Laundry & Housekeeping positions. Sign on Bonus, every other weekend off, shift differentials, health & dental, PERA retirement, and much more. Responsible for the overall cleanliness of the facility. To maintain a safe, clean, infection free environment throughout the facility. Demonstrate knowledge and compliance with facility-wide and departmental policies and procedures. Actively participate in hospital mandatory education programs/in-services Meet attendance policy requirements. Meet competency requirements for this position. Knowledge of safe working practices. Clean and disinfect the facility on a daily schedule. Remove drapes and divider curtains and rehang when they have been cleaned. Clean all hard surface floors on a daily schedule. Strip and apply finish to all hard surface floors on a yearly schedule or as needed. Clean all walls on a yearly basis or as needed. Vacuum all carpets on a daily schedule throughout the facility. Spot clean carpets on a daily basis. Shampoo carpets on a yearly basis or as needed. Clean all glass areas, including facility windows. Follow all necessary infection control procedures. Wear personal protective equ8ipment when necessary. Perform all other tasks assigned. Work all shift. Clean all areas of the facility 100% if the time. As a health care employee you may be exposed to air and blood borne pathogens. All other duties as assigned
