We are offering an opportunity in the healthcare industry, specifically in hospitals and social assistance, for a Billing Collections Specialist to join our client in Concord, California. This role involves processing customer credit applications, maintaining accurate customer credit records, and resolving customer credit inquiries in a team-based environment.

Responsibilities:

• Handle incoming calls and customer inquiries in a detail oriented manner

• Maintain a calm and confident demeanor when dealing with customers

• Accurately process customer credit applications

• Keep customer credit records up-to-date and organized

• Monitor customer credit accounts regularly

• Take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments

• Work effectively in a team of seven members

• Utilize excellent typing skills, maintaining a minimum of 35 WPM

• Apply strong customer service skills, particularly in a call center environment

• Show adaptability and versatility in performing tasks in both retail and phone-based customer service.

Requirements • Proven experience as a Billing Clerk or a similar role in the healthcare industry

• Familiarity with the operation of billing software and other relevant IT systems

• Proficient in data entry and management, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality at all times

• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for the purpose of maintaining and updating financial records

• Strong understanding of billing procedures and regulations within the healthcare industry

• Proven experience in a call center environment, with a focus on customer service

• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to handle all customer queries and complaints professionally

• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• High school diploma; further education in business administration or similar field would be considered a plus.
