JPMorgan Chase Vice President - US Payroll/Expat Payroll Manager in Columbus, Ohio

Looking for a leader in the Payroll Operations Space that has a strong background in Expat Payroll processing. This leader will be a critical resource in helping to successfully process payroll across the firm

As a US Payroll/Expat Payroll Operations Manager within our dynamic team, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of US Payroll for more than 180,000 employees and 3000 expats. Your role will involve collaborating with Global Mobility, Time Operations, Tax and LOA to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of payroll calculations. Additionally, you will manage operational support for all payroll activities. This role provides an opportunity to further develop a world-class Payroll Operations team that utilizes Oracle's HCM Cloud platform and Assignment Pro Globally mobility platform.

Job responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all payroll processing both on cycle and off cycle (BiWeekly, Semimonthly and Monthly cycles)

  • Lead and manage a payroll Ops team including interviewing & selection, individual & team goal setting, performance evaluation and coaching for professional and personal development.

  • Be responsible for creation and/or update of all SOP's related to Payroll support and processing

  • Partner with our product team related to payroll calculation needs and the execution of configuration of all earnings, deductions and taxes

  • Working knowledge of Payroll and wage and hour labor laws

  • Builds a culture of continuous improvement within the team

  • Partner closely with internal teams to ensure proper transfer of time to ensure payroll execution accuracy

  • Operates as subject matter expert related to payroll process flow through to end state payroll delivery with the ability to effectively articulate the process

  • Identifies any calculation issues with configuration and pay rule design as needed

  • Understands the employee experience and works collaboratively with our Service Delivery and Product team in the continuous improvement of our platform

  • Understands the requirements of the business related to pay types, programs and policies

Required qualifications, skills and capabilities

  • Strong leadership skills, ability to inspire and motivate a team

  • 10+ years progressive management experience in payroll, HR, Time or HRIS

  • 5+ years Expat Payroll experience

  • Excellent problem solving skills with a demonstrated ability to identify problems and systematically gather data, identify root cause and address data integrity issues as needed

  • 5+ years Oracle HCM Experience

  • 3+ Years AssignmentPro Experience

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong Excel skills

  • Desire to innovate and improve processes with an eye toward automation

  • Able to work effectively in a time sensitive environment, prioritize, and manage time efficiently

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams within HR
