JPMorgan Chase Risk Management - Business Manager - Associate in Columbus, Ohio

This role requires direct interaction with the Chief Risk Officer and the leadership team on a daily basis. Strong verbal and written communication skills are a necessity. Business Management requires impromptu presentations, explanations, research and problem solving. Relationships with critical partners inside and outside the sub-LOB can be the difference between success or failure.

The Associate role will report directly to the BB Risk Chief of Staff. We need a teammate who is intellectually curious, a strong influencer, great communicator, organized and enjoys solving real life problems to make a meaningful impact to the team. This is a multi-disciplinary role focused on strategic planning, business management, staffing readiness, executive preparedness and communication. You will regularly meet with leaders and partners in Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Strategic Analytics, Product Teams, IT, Governance, Legal and Compliance in order to effectively drive the business forward and deliver monthly, quarterly and annual strategic priorities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create strategic business planning and goal establishment

  • Maintain accurate and timely communication of near and long-term goals

  • Create executive presentations for multiple different events and scenarios

  • Planning, managing and executing:

  • Monthly Business Unit Reviews (BUR)

  • Quarterly, global town hall meetings,

  • Bi-annual leadership team offsite meetings

  • Manage resource planning and optimization

  • Enhance employee engagement and leadership training

  • Demonstrate the ability to maintain and constantly refine a standardized business management process for BB Risk and partner teams.

  • Maintain timely, accurate execution of all implied tasks required of a professional business manager

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior business management/business analyst positions

  • Strong project management, organizational skills and attention to detail

  • The ability to up-lead, earn trust and influence seasoned executives in order to drive the team forward, meet deadlines, respond immediately to escalated issues and quickly adjust to ever-changing priorities, with little or no guidance.

  • Demonstrated leadership solving business problems and providing a clear, concise point of view to senior executives

  • Exceptional influencing skills with experience in managing complex organizations, operations, and programs with diverse stakeholders

  • Superior judgment, team building, and presentation skills

  • Ability to resolve conflict across multiple constituencies and manage multiple simultaneous objectives is imperative

  • Social maturity and confidence. The inherent ability to perform under stress with elegance.

  • Build and maintain relationships with peers inside and outside the organization, identify opportunities, develop solutions and implement modifications using strong collaboration across teams

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Prior leadership and management experience, including experience turning findings into executable plans and driving alignment across multiple business units toward a common goal
