About the job:

The Finance Analyst develops and delivers a wide array of financial and operational performance analytics, providing timely and accurate insights into variances and trends, driving financial planning, performance management and decision support content/processes for assigned areas.

What you will do:

  • Serve as primary analytical liaison and expert financial planning resource for acute-care hospital leaders.

  • Perform statistical, cost, and financial variance analytics to identify emerging trends, risks, and opportunities. Works in partnership with site leadership to prepare annual plan, quarterly forecasts, and related comparatives/projections.

  • Develop and maintain standard region-wide reporting and analytical packages for consistent content and optimal efficiency.

  • Develop pro forma modeling for capital projects and ad hoc operational development scenarios to support decision making.

  • Provide consultative financial support to site leaders; develop and deliver financial training for department managers.

  • Support system-wide financial reporting, quarterly and annual forecasting assignments, leveraging various financial systems and data channels effectively.

  • Coordinate content and update financial presentations for sharing performance insights with all levels of the organization.

  • Collaborate closely with team and stakeholders; provide leadership of shared priorities and cross-functional projects.

  • Identify and implement creative, insightful improvements to processes, workflow, and data as needed.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.

  • 3-5 years of accounting or finance experience.

  • Experience in health care environment preferred.

  • Experience working with healthcare and/or financial systems and databases, creating reports, queries, and dashboards is desirable; may include Essbase/Smart View, OAC/OBI, Business Objects, Tableau, PeopleSoft, Hyperion, Epic, or others.

  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office applications especially Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Strong accounting, organizational, and communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills is required

**This is a hybrid role that will require working and attending meetings at the

various Mount Carmel hospital locations.
