Clinical Research Coordinator I - RI Biobehavioral Taylor Requisition ID 2024-48958 Category Research Overview The Child Brain & Development research group, led by Dr. H. Gerry Taylor, is a collaborative team focused on tracking neurodevelopmental outcomes of brain-related conditions (e.g., preterm birth and congenital heart disease). We are seeking applicants for a Clinical Research Coordinator position. Duties will involve direct work with children and caregivers (recruiting participants, interviewing caregivers, and administering neurocognitive assessments), data management (scoring assessments, reviewing medical records, and entering data into collection tools), and dissemination of research findings. This position will require flexibility of work hours to accommodate for scheduling of study visits during evening and weekend hours. Opportunities exist for mentorship and professional development for applicants who are interested in gaining experience that will prepare them to apply for advanced graduate programs, particularly in clinical psychology, developmental psychology, neuropsychology, and/or related fields. Responsibilities Responsibilities: Principal Duties and Responsibilities Recruit and obtain consent from families of young children for research participation by telephone or in person. Coordinate data collection and other research activities, including developing and maintaining study record-keeping systems, using various platforms (e.g., REDCap). Assist with documenting study progress and preparing reports in adherence to regulatory requirements. Communicate with inpatient and outpatient medical clinics and providers. Assist with the conduct and analysis of participant interviews and surveys. Handle the conduct, scoring, and data entry of child neurocognitive assessments. Data management, including abstracting data from medical records and using statistical analysis software. Assist with conduct drafting, submitting, and modifying research protocols. Qualifications KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., psychology, neuroscience) Previous research experience; those with experience in child development, neuropsychology, or related fields are strongly encouraged to apply Experience working or interacting with children and adolescents Ability to work independently, take initiative, a
