Benefits Eligible Day shift, 40hrs/week The Director plans, implements, and evaluates the administrative, supervisory and direct care activities for the Primary care Network. Oversees the clinical operations, staff development, clinical competencies, scope of practice, staff development and regulatory compliance of professional and support staff in Primary Care to ensure assessment, planning, provision and evaluation of patient care. Responsibilities The Director supports, communicates, implements, and enforces the philosophy, strategic plan, mission, values, standards, policies and procedures of Nationwide Children's Hospital. This position has direct/shared accountability for the Practice of Nursing and Unlicensed Assistive Personnel providing clinical care Leads/manages major departmental projects/initiatives such as new service development, IS projects, etc Recruits, trains, evaluates, develops, and as necessary, disciplines and/or terminates subordinate staff. Manages day-to-day operations of 14 Primary Care locations. Oversees the delivery of patient care by all professional and support staff within the specialty clinics and Ambulatory Services. Develops, in conjunction with Financial Services, operating and capital budgets for Primary Care. Monitors activity, revenue, expense and capital budgets for the specialty clinics. Analyzes, monitors and controls allocations for financial, human and material resources. Schedules resources to provide patient care in a cost effective manner. Develops Primary Care Network policies and procedures. Assists subordinate supervisory personnel in developing effective departmental policies and procedures. Participates in the review of other Nationwide Children's Hospital policies and procedures as appropriate. Ensures the orientation of department personnel to role functions, policies and procedures and information systems. Assists and directs staff in the identification of their own learning needs and assists staff in meeting those needs.
