JPMorgan Chase Chase Business Banking Internal Communications Sr. Associate in Columbus, Ohio

Our Business Banking Internal Communications team is seeking an experienced professional for an integral role developing and executing internal communications for employees - both field-based bankers and corporate staff. Our goal is to keep employees engaged, informed, and inspired. We work collaboratively with senior executives and colleagues, as well as communications partners in Centers of Excellence (video, graphic design, meetings & events) and PR to plan and execute 360-degree communication strategies. Channels may include the intranet, internal newsletters, town halls, presentations, webcasts, video, and calls. Strong writing and interview skills as well as critical thinking are paramount for this position.

As the Chase Business Banking Internal Communication Sr. Associate you will take complex issues and make them understandable; write about product launches, new campaigns, feedback-based enhancements, and business updates in a fresh, exciting way; and write concisely in a friendly, conversational style. The Internal Communications team is at the center of every major issue for our business, and your role will be critical to ensure our Business Banking employees have the right information as quickly as possible. In addition you will assist with executive communications, including org announcements, PowerPoint presentations, meeting logistics, fireside chat planning and other executive messages.

Job responsibilities:

  • Research, write, edit and post field communications

  • Work with business SMEs and Legal and Compliance partners to secure approvals

  • Manage and prioritize your assignments to meet deadlines

  • Develop and project-manage communication plans for major initiatives or special projects

  • Use internal technology to track engagement of internal communications and offer advice on the best strategy for reaching employees

  • Participate in meetings with senior business and client stakeholders to ensure project goals are met and manage stakeholder needs and expectations

  • Provide additional communications support, when needed, for other business units

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • 3+years of Communications experience; Bachelor's degree

  • Superior writing skills with versatility in format, including technical writing and executive messaging

  • Efficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel

  • Must be a quick study of complex or technical topics and be able to simplify those concepts into clear, precise writing

  • Self-motivated and comfortable working on tight deadlines

  • Ability to work in a strong risk and controls environment

  • Ability to recognize tasks that need to be completed and willingness to take responsibility for them

  • Must be able to produce urgent/crisis communications on demand

  • Must be focused, accurate and organized

  • Ability to work both independently as well as collaboratively and effectively in a group setting and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

  • Ability to recognize and respond well to changing priorities
