The Clinical Pilot Operations and Quality Manager will be responsible for defining SOPs, KPIs and quality frameworks for early client adoption pilots across all medical imaging-enabled Precision Diagnostics programs. This role will ensure the teams responsible for managing pilots are utilizing complete documentation, operating in compliance to defined frameworks and financial obligations have been met for all pilots. This role will work in support of cross functional programs. This position reports into the Senior Manager, Precision Diagnostics Operations

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support and lead development of the client adoption pilot program standard operating procedures (SOP), work instructions (WI), other clinical quality documents, including partnering with subject-matter experts

  • Identify, develop, and implement onboarding and training/ training-related needs from new processes, process improvements within Precision Diagnostics pilot programs

  • Identify, provide recommendations, develop, and lead operational excellence initiatives within the Precision Diagnostics organization, including the creation and delivery of tools, processes, templates, training, and guidance to drive efficiency, compliance, and best practices, while ensuring quality is integrated into all processes

  • Support inspection-readiness across the client adoption pilots by developing tools to support teams, creating reports with KPIs, story boards, risk-based monitoring and assessments, Quality Tolerance/ Metrics, etc.

  • Review SOPs and training documentation resulting from new process rollout to determine effectiveness

  • Host periodic meetings with Senior Precision Diagnostics Managers, Directors and Executives to share lessons learned, better understand internal/external best practices, and escalate recommendations for process improvements for vetting/ implementation

  • Build collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in managing client deployment projects for clinical solutions

  • 2+ years of experience in defining comprehensive frameworks and program SOPs, processes, quality measures and KPIs for client deployed clinical solutions

  • 2+ years understanding of how AI is used with medical imaging workflow

  • Working understanding of medical imaging workflows and diagnostic tools

  • Demonstrable understanding of applying financial measurements and analysis to define and assess program success

  • Broad familiarity working with Hospital IT (understanding of EHR and interoperability challenges). Ability to handle multiple projects at a time and have a solid attention to detail while understanding the higher-level strategy

  • Proven highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including proven skills in Excel

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders that might be geographically widespread and in different time zones

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Radiology Technologist or PACs Admin

  • Understanding of insurance reimbursement for AI (NTAP, CPT III codes)

  • Proven excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills

  • Proven solid communication skills both verbal and written are required (including presentation of materials to internal teams and external partners)

  • Proven self-motivated, assertive, and able to work independently or as part of a team

  • Proven advanced problem solving and critical reasoning skills

  • Proven ability to make timely decisions

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
