Matrix Providers is hiring a Phlebotomy Technician (Registered/Certified) to join our team of talented professionals who provide health care services to our Military Service Members and their families Peterson AFB, Colorado Springs, CO.

Employment Status: Full time, 40 hours per week Compensation: $23.50 hr. + $4.57 H&W with a $2,500.00 Sign on bonus. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM Benefits: Competitive financial package with a comprehensive insurance package including health, dental, vision, and life coverage. Accrued Paid Time Off (PTO) Paid Holidays (Outlined in Handbook) 401(k) Plan Phlebotomy Technician (Registered/Certified) must have and meet the following: Degree: Certificate. Education: Graduate from an academic course in phlebotomy that includes 120 didactic hours (or required by state law). Certification: Certification/registration as determined by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or AMT. Experience: Completed 1040 hours as a Phlebotomy Technician within the past 3 years. Must have performed 50 successful venipuncture and 10 successful skin punctures. Job Summary: Collect blood samples from patients. Practice proper patient identification, especially when working on hospital floors. Label vials with patient names and dates. Decipher the best method for drawing blood depending on the specific patient. Transport all specimen samples to a nearby laboratory. Centrifuge blood samples, depending on if this is allowed in the state you are working in. Expect to work with many patients varying in age and health status. Practice infection control standards at all times when working with patients and equipment.
