Description

The CNC Setup Technician performs setups, troubleshoots, offsets, tool changes, etc. on assigned CNC machines.

Functions

• Adjust specified programs, tooling, and stops to control stock and tool movements
• Review machine programming and make changes and adjustments as needed
• Perform machine troubleshooting, and asking for assistance from manufacturing engineer technicians when needed
• Monitor back up tooling
• Set up the necessary tooling, gaging and benches for assigned jobs and perform tool changes/offsets
• Maintains safe operations by following all safety procedures and regulations
• Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
