Clinical Coordinator – Operating Room – 40 Hours/Week – Day Shift

$15,000 SIGN ON BONUS

GENERAL SUMMARY

Clinical Coor- OR is responsible for the daily management of the OR schedule; daily staffing requirements; and activities of the control desk. Plans staffing assignments, makes room assignments, and coordinates daily schedule activity. Facilitates staff, patient, surgeon, anesthesia, and case movement to provide optimum service and patient care. Communicates with physicians to advise on case status and room availability, and serves as point person for communicating with other departments to facilitate daily operations.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

· Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required; BSN preferred.

· 2 to 3 years of relevant acute care nursing experience required.

· Must have communication and problem solving skills and strong facilitative interpersonal skills.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED

· Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.

· ACLS preferred.
