Medical Assistant or Registration Associate opportunity Clifton Park , NY - FT

Travel to local offices required

The Medical Assistant is responsible to perform the duties of the position in support of the nurses and physicians in providing quality medical care. R e sponsibilities include (but are not limited to): Escorting patient to exam room, taking appropriate vital signs, documenting all necessary health information into the electronic medical record, referrals, pre-authorizations, completing patient forms, and mandatory training. Preferred Qualifications include (but are not limited to): Graduate of a Medical Assistant Training Program, National Medical Assistant Certification: CMA, CCMA, RMA. Minimum qualifications include HS Diploma or equivalency, at least 10 months’ work and/or clinical training experience in the healthcare field, and proficiency in obtaining manual vital signs.

Pay Range: $18.00-$24.97

The Registration Associate is the receptionist for the office and is often the first person to greet and assist patients, visitors, and staff. This individual coordinates the flow of information in a positive and timely manner. The individual would need to possess computer skills and pleasant phone manners. Medical terminology is preferred for this position but not required. R e sponsibilities include (but are not limited to): checking in/out patients, insurance verification, appointment scheduling, medical record maintenance, supply monitor/ordering, answering phones, and data entry. Preferred Qualifications include (but are not limited to): HS Diploma/GED, two years' work experience in a health related area, customer service experience, ability to lift 20 lbs.

Pay Range:$17.50-$21.80

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
