Job Description The Training Specialist conducts our onboarding curriculum with all new hires at our plant and helps create training programs by collaborating with cross function teams, applying knowledge, and following course outlines. You will report to the Continuous Improvement Manager and work onsite in Cleveland, OH. Main Responsibilities: Collaborate with HR and Recruiting to enhance new hire experience by preparing learning materials, emailing hires before their first day to set expectations, and leading the onboarding experience by following the curriculum that reviews plant safety, procedures, and guidelines. Work with different teams to determine training gaps and roll out training strategies, projects, and job aid/support materials across all levels of the plant that align with organizational goals Evaluate training effectiveness through metrics and feedback, adjusting programs Distribute, migrate, and manage course issuance and completion through the Workday Evolve LMS Set up new processes and map process flows through a manufacturing shop Travel for learning and development improvement (approximately 10%) Maintain a training matrix based on progressions through our qualified based pay model Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or related field required 2+ years of previous experience in manufacturing or industrial environment OR previous experience in talent acquisition or HR in a manufacturing environment required Must be able to multi-task in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills Excellent work ethic and ability and interest to assume greater responsibility Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office Suite PPG pay ranges and benefits can vary by location which allows us to compensate employees competitively in different geographic markets.
