Description:

• Design, install, fabricate, repair, inspect, test, calibrate, adjust, maintain, modify, construct, clean, service and lubricate machines, equipment, electrical controls, structures and facilities.

• Diagnose and correct problems and proactively seek elimination of wastes and failures.

• Interpret mechanical, hydraulic, and civil drawings and schematics.

• Interface with design and engineering personnel, to assure efficient installations and repairs and to maintain equipment documentation integrity.

• Train apprentices in all aspects of job functions.

• Interpret specification sheets and technical literature for mechanical and hydraulic components for the purpose of installation and/or troubleshooting.

• Mark up prints to accurately reflect equipment current condition.

• Cut, weld, braze and fabricate tools, materials and equipment.

• Perform and document preventive maintenance checks, inspections and repairs.

• Hydraulic system troubleshooting, maintenance and repair

• Responsible for completing preventative maintenance (mechanical only)

• Maintenance of filtering systems and steam systems

• Responsible for pipefitting and fabricating parts

• Cut, weld, braze and fabricate tools, materials and equipment

• Maintain and rebuild pumps as needed

• Responsible for installing new equipment when needed

• Will be maintaining various pieces of equipment including - furnaces, forging equipment, band saws, large presses, cranes, trim presses, filtering systems, boilers, fan units, pumps, CNC machines (occasionally)

• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair valves

• Lock out tag out procedures

• Responsible for reading hydraulic prints / symbols

Qualifications:

• Must have a journeyman's card OR Minimum 4 years of relevant experience (required) such as mechanic work, millwright, pipefitting, fabrication, maintenance in an industrial setting

• Must be able to take and pass Ramsey test (unless they have journeyman card)

• MUST HAVE High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

• Need to have an industrial in maintenance

• Must be open to all shifts due to the union
