This Position is for a Physical Therapy Asst with a company located in Cleveland, MS.

Job Summary: Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, the Physical Therapist Assistant provides physical therapy services to patients needing to develop, recover and maintain physical mobility/function.

Duties and Responsibilities: Implements treatment plan developed by supervising therapist using appropriate modalities; Seeks consultation as necessary. Monitors patient's responses to the treatment plan. Regularly communicates patient progress and possible goal revisions to the physical therapist. Documents services provided and patient response/progress. Educates the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits. Assists with patient discharge planning. Provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and community support programs.  Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. 

Education and Qualifications: Associate Degree of Physical Therapy Assistant from approved Physical Therapy Assistant program, Required. Required Licenses: Current MS Board of Physical Therapy Licensure Physical Therapy Assistant. Required Certifications: Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 90 days of hire or transfer. Required Skills: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Experience: Preferred but not Required.
