What’s a typical day as a Welder? You’ll be:

• Fabricating sheet metal, pipe, and tube.

• Fitting/tacking together pieces into subassemblies then into complete machines.

• Using MIG and TIG processes to weld inside, outside corners of sheet metal, angle, tube, and pipe.

• Cleaning all welds using buffing wheels and air-driven wire brushes.

• Installing fittings, pumps, gauges, and hardware to complete machine assembly.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Have work history using MIG and TIG welding processes.

• Have the ability to read, understand, and follow shop drawings.

• Can work independently yet be part of a team.

• Have the ability to read a tape measure, work in fractions, and do basic math.

• Can safely operate basic hand tools such as drills, grinders, and air-driven tools.

• Have general plumbing and electrical skills (helpful but not necessary).

• Have forklift, scissor lift, press brake, or other equipment experience (a plus).
