Cooperative Education and Professional Studies (CCPS) faculty and staff have earned UC the distinction of being U.S. News and World Report's (2023) #1 public university for co-ops and internships. CCPS's Partnership Development team is hiring at least one (potentially more pending funding) Partnership Development Coordinators. This position is a full-time position that reports to the Sector Lead Manager. CCPS participates in the University's alternative work program; hybrid work schedule is negotiable. Job Overview Responsible for the development of external partnerships for the various experimentallearning programs. These programs include co-op, academic internship, micro-internship, and full-time employment opportunities as well as academic experiences such as UC Forward, Undergraduate Research, and Service Learning for students. Essential Functions Generate leads for new job development through alumni networks, industry research, and on-campus partnerships and assist faculty in follow-up. Work with faculty and administrators to execute an employer engagement strategy and best practices as it relates to employer retention- this may include employer appreciation events and coordinating touchpoints with employer partners. Work with faculty and administration to develop alumni relationships as they relate to future employer development. Cultivate, build, and maintain relationships with employer partners to ensure effective employer management. Work with faculty and student ambassadors to promote new opportunities. Assist in developing and implementing a partnership on-boarding strategy. Develop strong relationships with external organizations. Learn and understand the process and needs for each co-op offering as well as other programs. Develop an understanding of employer metrics, best practices, relationship history, and industry language. Support faculty in evaluating job opportunities for suitability as an academic learning experience by conducting company research and prospecting phone-calls. Support the development of an employer support and re-engagement strategy with faculty and administration that seeks to bring back Legacy employers. Support the development of strategic employer engagement plans by providing data and reports on employer hiring practices and trends. Meet directly with employers
