Hub International Account Manager in Cincinnati, Ohio

Position Summary:

This is a high-volume Account Management role, responsible for the overall management of current clients in the under 25-enrolled segment (approximately 75 clients). In this role, you will be the main point of contact for each client, building relationships in a largely virtual environment (i.e., most client meetings will be conducted virtually), and finding innovative ways to scale processes across your client group. Successful candidates will be highly organized, service-driven and solution oriented, with at least 3 years of experience servicing Employee Benefits clients.

Core Responsibilities:

Leads the Under 25-enrolled segment:

  • Understands and manages client timelines and deliverables across several open enrollment periods

  • Builds strong client relationships in a virtual environment

  • Organizes service teams to support clients where necessary

  • Identifies and escalates developing issues to management

  • Finds ways to scale processes across client groups to maximize efficiency

Main point of contact for client renewal processes including:

  • Bids and proposal preparation for a block of business.

  • Responsible for benefit program design and recommendations. Ensure renewals are fair and consistent with the marketplace.

  • Identifying organic growth, new product or cross solve opportunities.

  • Scrub and Submit sold case paperwork to carriers, including any additional information necessary for approval.

  • Follow up after renewal process has taken place.

Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely client information is captured in our systems, including:

  • Loading and maintaining client details and plan information into client database.

  • Organization of client files, electronically, updating information as needed.

Representative for day-to-day client management including:

  • Education and training for carrier systems and ER portals.

  • Ongoing client communication regarding compliance or legislative changes, corporate seminars/webinars, general updates or check-ins.

  • Facilitating carrier/benefit changes for block of business.

  • Responsible for educating clients on market trends and new product information.

Qualifications Required:

  • 4-year degree from an accredited University.

  • Minimum of 3 years (preferably more) of relevant experience within the Group Employee Benefits Industry servicing clients with 100 or fewer employees

  • Health and Life License required.

  • Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office products, especially Teams, Excel and PowerPoint & online applications.

Desired Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience building strong relationships with clients, colleagues, external resources and carriers.

  • Strong working knowledge of Employee Benefits products and industry best practices:

  • Health, Life, Dental, Vision, long term disability (LTD), short term disability (STD) and long-term care products.

  • Working knowledge of level and self-funding options.

  • Consumer Driven products (HRA, HSAs).

  • Worksite products.

  • Ability to advise clients regarding Cobra, Section 125 plans, ERISA, etc.

  • General knowledge of benefit administration technology and available platforms.

  • Excellent time management & organizational skills, with the and the ability to prioritize, leverage resources and delegate effectively.

  • High energy, detail-oriented self-starter, with the ability to conduct work with strong personal and professional ethics and integrity.

  • Experience creating solutions and making recommendations that address client concerns and problems.

Required Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience

Required Travel: Negligible

Required Education: Bachelor's degree (4-year degree)
