JPMorgan Chase Vice President, Strategic Initiatives in Chicago, Illinois

As a Vice President, Strategic Initiatives in Commercial Banking Solutions, you work to enhance and optimize the way products are delivered to customers. As a key member of the team, you create solutions and efficiencies that enable successful implementations in an expedient and organized way.

Job responsibilities

  • Leads end-to-end product delivery processes including intake, dependency management, release management, product operationalization, delivery feasibility decision-making, and product performance reporting, while escalating opportunities to improve efficiencies and functional coordination

  • Leads the completion of change management activities across functional partners and ensures adherence to the firm's risk, controls, compliance, and regulatory requirements

  • Effectively manages timelines and dependencies while monitoring blockers, ensuring adequate resourcing, and liaising with stakeholders and functional partners

  • Manage and execute payment projects (e.g. First Republic Bank Integration) with internal and external stakeholders

  • Deeply understand client needs through expert knowledge of payment landscape, client research, analysis, and market feedback

  • Maintain and continue to develop the value proposition for Commercial Banking with particular focus on how the product fits into the overall B2B Payout solution

  • Owns ongoing product oversight and maintenance and accountable for meeting product objectives (e.g., P&L, KPI)

  • Establish delivery milestones, budget, releases, client impacts and client servicing metrics in cooperation with cross-functional teams

  • Partner closely with sales, marketing, commercialization, onboarding and service to optimize processes and improve the client experience, ultimately decreasing cycle times and increasing client satisfaction

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product delivery or a relevant domain area

  • Demonstrated ability to execute operational management and change readiness activities

  • Strong understanding of delivery and a proven track record of implementing continuous improvement processes

  • Experience in product or platform-wide release management, in addition to deployment processes and strategies

  • Strong knowledge / experience with digital products and US payment initiation methods (primarily Virtual Card, ACH, Wire, Check, Real Time Payment)

  • Proven track record of collaboration with cross-functional teams to build better solutions and to execute go-to-market plans

  • Ability to build compelling presentations to elicit action from internal stakeholders and to positively influence client buying decisions

  • Strong written/verbal communication, leadership, and diplomacy skills to work cross-organizationally to influence others, drive results/change and implement projects/processes on simultaneous projects

  • Ability to translate product vision into phased design requirements followed by execution of a go to market product launch

  • Segmenting, tracking and analyzing client product usage, profitability, risk profiles and pipeline development

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Proficient knowledge of the product development life cycle, design, and data analytics

  • BA/BS business degree or a related discipline

  • Entrepreneurial and a self-starter, with ability to deliver results within condensed timeframes

  • Sales enablement experience with bringing new product capabilities to market and supporting sales education

  • Thrives in a dynamic and fast paced environment, and able to manage multiple concurrent initiatives with different delivery dates
