This job was posted by https://illinoisjoblink.illinois.gov : For more information, please see: https://illinoisjoblink.illinois.gov/jobs/11811734 Our client is a national law firm seeking an HR Operations Manager to oversee payroll, benefits, and all aspects of HR operations within the firm. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a niche and boutique firm with rapid growth. You will be working alongside the HR Director, forming an HR team of two.

THE ROLE:

  • Manage end-to-end multi-state payroll processes including data entry, computations, and verifying accuracy of payroll transaction on a biweekly and monthly basis
  • Prepare reports for management on payroll expenses, tax liabilities, and other related metrics.
  • Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other fringe benefits. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and manage relationships with benefit providers.
  • Manage the HRIS (Paycor)
  • Support the annual enrollment process, including vendor changes, plan design changes, communications, and testing of online enrollment system.
  • Support the administration of retirement programs.
  • Assist with recruiting, performance management, and employee engagement when needed

YOU:

  • 5+ years of HR experience handling payroll/benefits, preferrably in a professional services environment
  • Strong experience in managing multi-state payroll processes, including knowledge of tax regulations, wage and hour laws, and reporting requirements.
  • Proficiency within an HRIS preferably using one of the follwonig systems: Paylocity, Paycom, Paycor
  • Experience administering employee benefits programs
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to be onsite downtown 5 days a week
