The Role

RedMane has a full-time opportunity for a Child Care Business Analyst as we continue to grow our Chicago based HHS practice. You will leverage your Health and Human Services expertise within our product delivery teams, assisting with the functional design of our solutions for customers in the public sector. As one of our Business Analysts, you will work within our project teams to design solutions within these offerings.

You will work closely with our customers to present and document options, recommendations, and roadmaps to support their long-term planning and strategy.

You will also play a critical role in supporting team members throughout the project lifecycle and help drive productive conversations with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities of a Business Analyst include:

  • Responsible for the handling of various elements of project work plans, including JAD and travel schedules.

  • Participate in systems analysis and gap analysis.

  • Handle crucial tasks like requirements gathering and responsible for the preparation of Functional Design documents (FDDs).

  • Support team members through the development and testing phases of projects.

  • Provide status reporting, quality assurance monitoring and ensure adherence to procedures.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Understanding of design and development concepts and familiarity with design patterns and the SDLC.

    Skills & Role Requirements

  • We are looking for people with aptitude, intelligence and desire.

  • At least 3 years of functional knowledge of Child Care modules such as Intake, Applications, Providers, Eligibility Determination, Payments, etc.

  • Knowledge of Federal and State Health and Human Services IT programs.

  • Experience working with batches, workflows, data services/interfaces.

  • Must have an interest in and willingness to learn various technologies.

  • Ability to facilitate design sessions and workshops with clients to capture functional requirements.

  • Direct and succinct verbal and written communication style with the ability to articulate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.

  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
