Description:

Position Summary: Provide safe anesthesia care for all patients who receive such services at the Hospital under the supervision of an anesthesiologist.

Qualifications: License to practice in the State of Michigan as a Registered Nurse with a specialty license as a Nurse Anesthetist. Currently certified by the Council of Recertification for Nurse Anesthetist. Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support required.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Behaves in accordance with the Mission, Vision and Values of St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea/Saint Joseph Mercy Health System.

Provides quality patient care by considering the age specific, development and cultural needs through competent clinical practice. Demonstrates unit/area competencies.

Identifies and assists in resolution of problems related to safety, sanitation and maintenance of the environment.

Practices effective communication in all interactions (patient, visitor, co-worker, etc.)

Promotes a positive work environment by demonstrating teamwork.

Required Education, Experience and Certification/Licensure

1) License to practice in the State of Michigan as a Registered Nurse with a specialty license as a Nurse Anesthetist

2) Currently certified by the Council of Recertification for Nurse Anesthetist

3) Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support required.
