COMMERCIAL COSTRUCTION PROJECT EXECUTIVE - Chattanooga, TN

My client, a well-known and vibrant, family-owned mid-sized Commercial General Contractor operating in the Southeastern United States is searching for an experienced Commercial Construction Project Executive to become an integral part of their team in Chattanooga. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, self-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of their projects, and excels in meeting project schedules and profitability targets.

Position Duties and Requirements:

  • At least 10 years of proven experience as a Project Manager in Commercial Construction, handling projects ranging from $5 million to $40 million in value.

  • Preferred experience as a Project Executive/Manager of Operations in Commercial Construction, overseeing a Business Plan of $50 million of work annually.

  • Proficiency in managing and mentoring teams comprising Senior Project Managers, Superintendents, Project Managers, and Project Engineers in day-to-day construction project management tasks.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of fostering effective relationships with internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.

  • Familiarity with web-based Project Management Solutions; prior experience with Procore is advantageous.

  • Proficiency in Project Scheduling Software.

  • Ability to multitask across multiple projects at different stages of the construction process.

    Requirements

  • Lead the identification, pursuit, procurement, and execution of construction projects while overseeing a team of construction professionals.

  • Generate and monitor opportunities to secure profitable work.

  • Develop, manage, and execute an annual strategic Business Plan within a defined market sector.

  • Cultivate and manage client relationships throughout project lifecycles to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.

  • Act as the company representative at selected business organizations and conferences.

  • Collaborate with Estimating during the Preconstruction phase.

  • Interpret Construction Plans and Specifications effectively.

  • Supervise the procurement process for subcontractors and vendors, including buyout, scope of work review, contract drafting, insurance and bonding reviews, etc.

  • Research and propose resolutions to drawing interpretation issues, conflicts, and errors.

  • Oversee the team responsible for managing Submittals, RFIs, Change Order Proposals, Owner Billings, Time Sheet Management, Subcontractor/Vendor Billings, Monthly Reports, etc.

  • Ensure timely and accurate Owner billings and payments.

  • Produce precise monthly cost projections forecasting total estimated costs at completion.

  • Supervise the creation and monitoring of Project Schedules and provide progress updates.

  • Ensure adherence to QA/QC Standards and Safety Requirements by overseeing the Superintendent staff and actively engaging in Jobsite progression.

  • Represent Hogan Construction Group at jobsite and Owner Meetings as the Senior Management representative.

  • Identify personnel requirements and ensure proper staffing of the Project Team.
