University of Virginia OR Imaging Support Vascular Hybrid Technologist in Charlottesville, Virginia

Responsible for performing routine to complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in diagnostic radiology to ensure the production of quality images of all anatomical structures for interpretation by Radiologist. May be required to drive between sites.

  • Effectively operates and maintains required equipment necessary to produce radiographic images.

  • Adheres to established imaging protocols and ensures quality standards are met.

  • Follows established standards to ensure safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.

  • Supports educational component of the organizational mission statement; seeks opportunities to teach and learn in accordance with department / organizational standards, policies and protocols.

  • Readily accepts ownership of clinical area; demonstrates pride in appearance and ensures readiness of exam rooms, equipment and supplies.

  • In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

Position Compensation Range: $30.74 - $49.18 Hourly

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Graduate of an accredited JRC program in Radiography required. Associate’s Degree in Radiography preferred.

Experience: Minimum of one year experience as a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist

Licensure: Registered Radiologic Technologist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT R.T.) required. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required. Valid Virginia Driver’s License (VADL) may be required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping and traveling, reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive); Repetitive motion: (computer keyboard). Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 50 - 100lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, cold, dust, noise, radiation, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
