Job Summary

Compass Group is looking for a Learning Experience Manager to oversee the development and implementation of learning programs, ensuring integration and collaboration across departments.

This role entails providing strong consultation, and direction to internal teams, HR Business partners, and stakeholders to uncover and address learning needs. The position assesses role-specific needs and challenges, leverages the team for design effectiveness, and implements programs and performance support tools.

The Learning Experience Manager partners with key stakeholders to drive process improvements and efficiencies in alignment with LMS and learning strategy.

This position requires exceptional customer support and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work well, both independently and in collaboration with multiple partners, including collaborative development and leveraging of networks to accomplish objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as learning liaison and consultant for in-house and vendor-developed sector training projects, enterprise-level HR initiatives, and strategic projects.

  • Partner with business stakeholders to align learning with workforce competencies across all sectors.

  • Manage enterprise instructional design team to consult, design, develop, and implement training.

  • Consult on and configure course and program technical design and implementation to translate customer needs into clearly defined system requirements, including audience definition and creation.

  • Oversee Instructional Design standards across enterprise training, establish design approaches for authoring tools and LMS compatibility, advise design and structural solutions, wireframe logic, and ROI best practices.

  • Prioritize reporting and evaluation to ensure the effectiveness and impact of learning and drive continuous improvement.

  • Track and manage ROI impact across enterprise learning, support ROI methodology and evolve methodology based on new trends, technology, and department strategy.

  • In alignment with LMS and learning strategy, identify and develop new procedures and techniques to improve effectiveness for business stakeholders and the team; create standards for consistent delivery.

  • Consult with Talent Management to discover enterprise development needs, analyze gaps, and explore best practices.

  • Drive project management for team deliverables, including multiple project oversight and detailed project execution.

  • Oversee $1.5M operating budget and support department forecasting and budget.

  • Connect learning to organizational development programs, including engagement surveys, leadership development, team member value proposition, talent planning, performance management, skills development, and career pathing.

  • Lead all initiatives with a DEI lens, partnering with the DEI team on priorities.

Requirements:

  • Consultative approach, with analytical problem solving and troubleshooting skills that lead to rapid and accurate problem resolution.

  • Experience leading teams.

  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and learning evaluation.

  • Experience with e-Learning software.

  • Experience supporting a learning management system as it relates to learning design configurations.

  • Ability to explain instructions, policies, procedures and to present findings and conclusions clearly, concisely and appropriately for the audience.

  • Experience in a learning setting, developing learning programs and execution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Systems Technology, Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Technology, or related field.

  • 5-7 years of professional experience actively developing learning content across multiple technology platforms (including mobile).

  • Experience successfully managing, communicating, deploying projects in a large-scale organization.

  • Proficiency in using e-Learning software & LMS services such as Articulate, Moodle, or similar technologies.

  • High level proficiency in using MS Office suite & web-based conference services such as WebEx, Teams, and similar technologies.

  • Proven ability to lead others towards a timely completion of projects with both urgent and long-term deadlines.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously, while working with multiple levels of key stakeholders.
