Principal Financial Group Delivery Manager in Charlotte, North Carolina

What You'll Do

We’re looking for a Delivery Manager to join our Income Solutions team. In this role, you’ll informally lead one or more Product Scrum teams who support our Annuities, Pension Risk Transfer, or Platform product families through the product lifecycle. This is a role for someone who is passionate about coaching, continuous improvement, and delivering software solutions that meet business outcomes.

You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Define, orchestrate, manage, and lead all aspects of the complete product life-cycle, delivery cadence, release plan and sprint schedule

  • Partner with agile team members to solution and deliver business outcomes

  • Lead a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging experimentation; Foster an environment of innovation, discovery, and growth

  • Work through dependencies that may span multiple teams throughout the enterprise

Who You Are

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree (preference in a computer science, technology, engineering or math-related field) or equivalent experience

  • 3+ years experience managing software/application development initiatives

  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives, activities and tasks under time constraints

  • Advanced planning/organizational, problem-solving, analytical, decision-making, presentation, and communication skills

  • Ability to work on cross-functional teams and collaborate with both IT and non-IT partners at all levels of the organization

  • Ability to influence others without direct authority

Skills That Will Help You Stand Out

  • 4+ years of Agile team experience in any well-known software environment

  • Agile/Scrum/Coaching

  • Informal leadership experience

  • Financial services industry

  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (especially AWS)

Salary Range Information

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)

$77350 - $182400 / year

Time Off Program

Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.
