As directed by the team leader and the Registered Nurse and in partnership with the health care team and patient/ family, performs work processes to accomplish positive patient outcomes, and organizational goals. Provision of care focuses on psychosocial support and activities of daily living.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Completes 100%25%20of training, in-service, Do-it Groups (DIGs) and Just Do It (JDI) requirements established by MNM and by any professional or licensing organizations.

  • Cares for patients demonstrating clinical competence in implementing a plan of care. Maintains basic technician skills, such as obtaining vital signs. Reports observations, including any change in residents condition to Registered Nurse in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Performs interventions to enhance psychosocial support. Assists residents to Activities.

  • Provides/assists with care to support physical function for activities of daily living, such as toileting, bathing, feeding, and ambulation which allow residents to achieve their highest practical level of function.

  • Documents according to facility guidelines to accurately reflect care provided immediately after performing procedure or task.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • High school graduate or GED

  • Successful completion of an approved Nurse Aide Training Program

  • Certified as a Competency Evaluated Nurse Aide (CENA) in the State of Michigan

QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED

  • Prior experience in direct patient care preferred.
