Koniag Professional Services, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Shift Supervisor with Secret Clearance to support KPS and our government customer in Charleston, SC.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure all services are monitored by knowledgeable supervisors capable of making decisions and providing assistance to employees providing required services.

  • Required to be fully knowledgeable of all administrative processes they are supervising.

  • Conduct personnel, vehicular, building, & facility checks and package & parcel inspection.

  • Carry out general and special orders for assigned post.

  • Must be able to work flexible hours to include weekends and holidays.

  • Follow applicable standard operating procedures and government regulations pertaining to security of weapons, buildings, personnel, government property and equipment.

  • Provide access control, traffic control and conduct walking and motorized armed security functions.

  • Follow all company personnel and safety policies and perform all assigned duties safely.

  • Notify the Deputy Project Manager/Project Manager (DPM/PM) of all unusual or emergency situations according to Post Orders and company policy.

  • Manages the staffing of posts during the shift in order to ensure complete coverage. This includes, but is not limited to, coverage for vacations, illness, and call-offs.

  • Required to interact with and escort as required both public and government personnel.

  • Other supervisory Responsibilities

  • Communicate according to orders via radio, telephone and orally.

Education and Experience:

  • A minimum of four (4) years’ experience in law enforcement or a security related area.

  • Must be previously fully commissioned by an accredited law enforcement agency or possess a Diploma or Certificate as a graduate of a Federal, State, local or military service approved/recognized basic law enforcement or a physical security academy.

Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Must also have 1 year of law enforcement or security-related supervisory experience.

  • Capable of obtaining a National Security Clearance at the Secret level.

  • Must satisfactorily complete Physical Agility Testing (PAT) and Weapons Qualifications prior to assuming duties.

Working Environment & Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.

The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
